Extended Description:
Just a few hours from the city of Darwin, you will find yourself in some of the most unspoilt and remote parts of Australia. A 'must-do' on your holiday itinerary whilst in the Top End should be a trip to Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land. Comprising of more than 110,000 square kilometres, Kakadu is Australia's largest national park. Nature and wildlife are abundant in this area, and it contains one of the highest concentrated areas of aboriginal rock art sites in the world.
Wholly aboriginal owned land, Arnhem Land is known for its strong aboriginal culture, towering escarpments, wild coastline, savannah woodlands, lush wetlands and prolific wildlife. Closer to Darwin is the Mary River region and Litchfield National Park. The Mary River is an angler's paradise, literally jumping with barramundi and other tropical species, with many fishing charters visiting here.vLitchfield is bursting with several types of typical Top End habitats including lush monsoon forests, termite mounds, unusual rock formations, waterfalls and cascades.
