The village of Sutton Forest is a convenient 1.5 hours pleasant drive from Sydney or Canberra and about 45 minutes from the coast and Wollongong.
Once you have settled into Sutton Forest (Phar Lap country), you can explore the nearby wineries and historic towns of Exeter, Bundanoon, Moss Vale, Robertson ('Babe' country'), Berrima and Bowral, with their beautiful buildings, antique shops, art galleries and gift stores. The Morton National Park is just 10 minutes away, with views that will amaze you and, of course, you have to visit the Glow Worm Caves.
With the many pubs, sports clubs, service clubs, cafes and restaurants in such close proximity you can eat out as much as you like, or do some local shopping and cook in your own kitchen.
