Things to Do

Whale and dolphin watching are extremely popular pastimes in Jervis Bay.
Tourism numbers swell as the whales migrate, both north and south, they can be observed as they pass the entrance to the Bay. They also frequently enter the bay to rest and play for the people who love them so much- it's almost as though they know they have an audience. The majority of whales sighted at Jervis Bay are Humpback whales (migrating along the east coast from June to November), Southern Right Whales, False Killer Whales, Orcas, Minke and Blue Whales.

Recreational fishing and scuba diving are also immensely popular ways to spend time at Jervis Bay. Amateur fishermen use the boat ramps at bayside towns and camp sites. Popular scuba diving areas are the Labyrinths, Gorgonian Wall, Point Perpendicular, Ten Fathom Reef, and Bowen Island.

Jervis Bay National Park features forest, bays and beaches that are great for swimming, bushwalking, birdwatching and just relaxing and enjoying the tranquillity. Where to Stay

Accommodation choices at Jervis Bay are vast. Options vary from B&B guesthouses, self contained accommodation, motels, caravan parks and there's camping if you really want to get back to nature.

Obviously, the number one option on most people's mind is a beach house on the sand where you can wake up each morning and step out onto the sand. There's lots of them to choose from, even beach penthouses!
