Weather Info:

When to Go

The Hunter Valley can be very hot during Australia's summer months of December through February. Spring months of September- November are a perfect time to visit for a pleasant all-round experience and a climate like that experienced on Queensland's Gold Coast.

The winter months of June -August can get to very cold temperatures of below zero and even through Spring and Autumn you will experience cold temperatures, especially overnight, so pack warm pyjamas.

February is vintage season and one of the best times to visit. You can tour the wineries, partake in wine tasting from the tank and sample a few of the other products like the cheeses. It's a great opportunity to see how the wine is produced.
