Fishing
Throughout the year Coffs Coast offers beach, river, deep-sea and estuary fishing. Boat ramps are very prominent throughout the Coffs Coast and rishing tours and charter boats are available for half day, full day and nights for reef, deep-sea, sport and game fishing. In Coffs itself, Jetty Beach and Park Beach are excellent for beach fishing - Whiting, Flathead, Bream, Tailor and Mulloway fish abound. For the more serious fishers, head out to the Split Solitary Marine Park - it offers beach, rock, estuary and deep-sea fishing.

Big on fun, big on interest, big on activities - discover the secrets of a banana plantation in a World of Bananas, try a toboggan ride, shop for a unique gift, climb the Skywalk to the lookout, enjoy a wet and wild day on the new Banana Slip, sample a banana split or smoothie.
Share the beauties of an enclosed sub-tropical garden with live native and exotic butterflies at the Butterfly House. An educational experience where you can learn about the life cycle of the butterfly and witness the metamorphisis.

Special Events
Coffs is a delightful little musical hub with The North Coast Regional Botanic Garden providing the spectacular backdrop for four delightful open-air jazz concerts in February 2009.Presented by the Friends of the Botanic Garden and the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium, the four concerts are held every Sunday in February and will feature a number of much-loved jazz musicians.Each week you can enjoy 'Music Under the Fig Trees' at Sawtell (first Saturday of every month) and every Sunday at Horizons Bar & Restaurant, Opal Cove Resort come along and be entertained by a variety of wonderful local artists.

Coffs Coast has one of Australia's most livable environments - a sub tropical climate that averages maximum 24 degrees celcius and minimum 13 degrees celcius.
 
It is Australia's most temperate area, where the mountains reach the sea and the area is protected from cold winds by the mountains. There are more hours of sunshine than areas to the south, and less humidity than areas to the north.

The sea temperature in Summer averages around 23 degrees celcius while in Winter it gets down to an average of 18 degrees celcius.
