Extended Description:
The guesthouse is a large *State Heritage listed Mediterranean style villa ~ built in 1923 set amongst 6000 sq metres of cool climate garden with spectacular views to the World Heritage Blue Mountains National park. This Blue Mountains retreat venue is perfect for special family events, reunions and celebrations, and as an intimate conference venue.
The house has been decorated with a mixture of antique and modern fittings, to give the feel of a wealthy holiday Blue Mountains retreat between the 1920s and 1950s.
The north-facing house and cottage with 14-inch thick-stuccoed walls are warm and sunny in winter and cool and airy in summer. Many of our guests say that it reminds them of villas in Tuscany or Cape Town.
Our Blue Mountains retreat sleeps up to eight adults in four bedrooms each with a private bathroom. Two of the bathrooms have double spa baths.
All rooms are individually decorated with hand made quilts, original art work and a mixture of antique and modern furnishings. They are centrally heated, with tea and coffee making facilities, television with movie channels and in house phones. Additional children or adults can also be accommodated in the spacious bedrooms.
The Yengo room is the original ‘master bedroom’ and features its original 1923 fireplace. It has views of the National Park and garden. Accommodation consists of a queen and single bed and shower ensuite.
The Tomah Room - One of the original guest bedrooms. Accommodation comprises queen bed room with spacious veranda overlooking garden. It is attached to a large Turkish style Spa bathroom located in hallway. Gowns provided.
The Irwin Room - this large room was once two original guest rooms. It features an original 1923 fireplace, a king bed which can be split into two singles, shower ensuite and a large veranda overlooking the garden.
The Hay Room ~ this large room overlooks the garden and also features an original fire place. Includes a spa bathroom with separate shower, queen and single bed.
This elegant house can be booked out for large groups or by individual rooms.
